
Five entrepreneurs pitching for dollars in mid-February in Maryville
The inaugural “Launchpad Pitch Competition” from the Sky City Entrepreneur Center features Blount County-based start-ups.
The Sky City Entrepreneur Center has announced the five Blount County-based entrepreneurs who will compete for the $2,500 in prize money as determined by three judges during the inaugural “Launchpad Pitch Competition” set for February 16 in Downtown Maryville. They are:
- Jonnay Wegner of Lil Cub Den;
- James Tente of Insight Code Consulting;
- Aaron Killian of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Clutter;
- Sara Garnett of Raised Valley Ranch; and
- Pamela Savell of The Adventure Playhouse.
Judges are Ben Nibali, Founder of APTUS DesignWorks; Tina Rhea, Owner of REO Cheesewagon; and Jimmy Morgan, Vice President of Commercial Banking with First Horizon Bank.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at The SkyView at Broadway Social, 101 East Broadway Avenue. Admission is $15 per person, and those who register can also purchase votes for $5 each for the audience choice award. The person pitching who secures the most votes will receive the total amount for the number of votes they receive less a processing fee.
