First session in “TVC Virtual Summit Series” is just days away

As noted in today’s feature article with Third District U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, the first of five weekly sessions under the “TVC Virtual Summit Series” starts in three days (Thursday, July 16).

The theme of all five sessions is “Twenty-five Years of Innovation Transforming a Region,” paying tribute to the silver anniversary of the Tennessee Valley Corridor (TVC). Thursday’s sub-theme is “The Appalachian Highlands Meeting the Challenge.” Featured speakers for the 90-minute session that begins at 1 p.m. EDT include:

  • First District U.S. Congressman Phil Roe who is retiring after the election;
  • Tim Thomas, Federal Co-Chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission;
  • U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander who is also retiring this year; and
  • Former U.S. Congressman Zach Wamp who founded the TVC Summit Series in 1995.

Pre-registration is required for each session, but there is no charge. For more information, click here.
