Findings, recommendations from Techstars report to be released at January 6 event
The final report on findings and recommendations from the Techstars assessment of the Knoxville area’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem will be reviewed in a 90-minute “Town Hall” type event scheduled for January 6.
As described in this teknovation.biz article from early June, the study was commissioned by three of the region’s largest employers – Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), TVA, and the University of Tennessee (UT). Collectively, the three are key drivers of economic activity in a variety of ways – from research undertaken to career opportunities offered and technologies invented and licensed.
The purpose of the meeting, set for 8 to 9:30 a.m. EST, is to share the results of the recent assessment undertaken by Techstars and to discuss plans for addressing the gaps and opportunities in our region. To register, click here.
