Finally approved federal budget includes funds to advance innovation efforts
SSTI reports that the just passed and approved federal budget for FY21 provides increases in some programs affecting the innovation economy. Specifically cited are: (1) the Economic Development Administration’s “Build to Scale” program that received an appropriation of $38 million; (2) the Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) “Regional Innovation Clusters” initiative that received $6 million; and (3) SBA’s “Federal and State Technology” (FAST) program that received $4 million.
