Childcare & Our Workforce: Policy, Partnerships, and Proven Solutions (Oak Ridge)

Access to affordable, reliable childcare remains a critical workforce challenge, affecting parents’ ability to work and employers’ ability to recruit and retain employees. As potential solutions continue to be discussed, understanding what works—and how businesses and community partners can help—is essential to moving forward.
November’s Government Affairs program will feature Blair Taylor, Founder, President & CEO of Tennesseans for Quality Early Education (TQEE), for a discussion of childcare policy and successful approaches to addressing this ongoing challenge. Drawing on her experience in advocacy and public-private partnerships, Blair will highlight examples of solutions that have worked and opportunities to support progress in our own community.
The conversation will help employers and community members better understand the policies, partnerships, and practical steps that can support working parents and strengthen our workforce. Whether through workplace support, community collaboration, or engagement in policy discussions, businesses have an important role to play.
Bring your questions and perspectives as we explore how greater awareness can lead to meaningful action for families, employers, and our region.
