Eighteen organizations receive grants under Michael Jordan’s “Black Community Commitment” program
Eighteen organizations delivering locally-relevant solutions designed to reduce inequity and meet the diverse needs of the Black community in cities of all sizes across the country have been announced as the latest recipients of funding under the “Black Community Commitment” program.
Funded by basketball legend Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand, the 18 are sharing $1 million in funds through grants contributing to the areas like social justice, economic empowerment and education and awareness.
None of the awardees are in Tennessee, but two are in Georgia and one each in Cincinnati and Charlotte. Click here for more information about the 10-year, $100 million commitment to the Black Community.
