EDPA retools “Alabama Launchpad” competition to better spur innovation

The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) is retooling its “Alabama Launchpad” pitch competition to spur innovation in these uncertain times.

Under the “Reignite Alabama” banner, EDPA will call on companies to propose solutions for how the state can best continue its business growth while navigating the challenges of COVID-19. The organization describes the four sectors of emphasis – commercial/retail/live events, healthcare, education and industrial efficiency and safety – as “wicked challenges.” Click here to learn more.

Also last week, EDPA announced the appointment of its new President. Greg Barker, formerly Executive Vice President of Customer Relations with Alabama Power, takes the reins of the statewide non-profit. Click here to learn more about him.
