EC, Y-12 “Innovation Competition” now set for December 6
The headline on the news release reads as follows: “The Enterprise Center reinvents Y-12 Innovation Competition.” A quick read of the release underscores the point.
For the 2013 version of the annual conference set for December 6 in Chattanooga, The Enterprise Center (EC) and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge are allowing entrepreneurs to use the latter’s technology to “create beta products and develop business plans in competition for cash and prizes, including start-up business assistance.”
The organizers say that entrepreneurs will have access to all Y-12 technologies listed in the facility’s portfolio at http://techportal.eere.energy.gov/lab/Y12/browse. Business plans can be built around any of the technologies listed, although the competition will be focused around two pieces of logistics software – IR3AM and EVALUATE.
The event starts at 10 a.m. December 6 at the Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Boulevard.
