
Duke University reports record-setting year in tech transfer
Duke University’s Office of Licensing and Ventures says its fiscal 2020 year was record-setting, from patents to licensing fees, and the Duke New Ventures program helped launch 17 start-ups. Other highlights, as noted in this article from WRAL TechWire, were: (1) 26 COVID-related invention disclosures among more than 400 submitted; and (2) licensing revenues soaring to $65 million, up from $58 million in fiscal 2019.
