
DOE’s new Director of State and Community Energy Programs is steeped in the start-up world
The newly named inaugural Director of the Office of State and Community Energy Programs in the U.S. Department of Energy has a long history in economic development and capital formation.
Henry McKoy served for two years as Assistant Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Commerce; was a Senior Vice President and Operations Officer for SunTrust, now known as Truist; and held various positions with Tar Heel state institutions of higher education including Social Entrepreneur Mentor-in-Residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lecturer at Duke University, and Director of Entrepreneurship at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) where he also served as Managing Director of the Eagle Angel Network.
