Atlanta’s diversity on several levels cited as city’s key competitive strength
One of the gaps identified in the recent Techstars assessment of the Knoxville’s region’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem was the need to be more inclusive.
It is a critical challenge that the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center is helping address as a key part of a collective effort focused on many of the gaps from the Innov865 Alliance as a whole and individual members.
In a recent article in Atlanta Inno that was co-written by the Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Association of Georgia and the Chair of the Technology Group at an Atlanta-based international law firm, the city’s diversity is cited as one of its key advantages. The headline says it all: “Growing Tech in Atlanta 2021: Accelerating Our Competitive Edge Through Diversity.
Here’s an excerpt: “Why is the future bright for Atlanta’s tech community in 2021? What sets our city and state apart from others trying to attract and retain tech entrepreneurs and leading IT businesses? Diversity on several key levels separates Atlanta from every other global city proclaiming their attractiveness to innovative and entrepreneurial businesses.”
