A few more details emerge on new AgLaunch initiative in 98 rural counties
Nearly two months ago, we posted this article from the SSTI Weekly Digest noting that Memphis-based AgLaunch was one of seven regional innovation cluster initiatives awarded $500,000 from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Now, in this recent post from Ashley D. Bell, SBA Region IV Administrator, additional details are emerging. It notes that “AgLaunch will help small businesses start, expand and support the next generation of farming capabilities in 98 primarily rural counties in Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee, many of which are located in the Delta region.”
Next month, AgLaunch and the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center are hosting their annual week-long “AgLaunch Bootcamp” (see recent teknovation.biz article on the program here). It is set for July 8-12.
