Decode secures $45 million DoD contract to accelerate start-ups doing business with the federal government
DC Inno reports that Decode, which operates an accelerator based in the Nation’s Capital, has secured a $45 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to provide tech advisory services, executive coaching and workforce training to any branch of the military. The goal is to help the federal government’s largest agency modernize its technology and streamline processes.
According to the Decode website, it has helped more than 100 companies secure more than 160 contracts from federal agencies. Of the clients it has served, Decode says more than 20 have achieved unicorn status.
DC Inno also notes that Decode launched Dcode Capital during the pandemic. The venture capital arm has made more than half a dozen investments in companies that have participated in its accelerators.
