David Cummings more optimistic than many about economic outlook for start-ups

As more and more people raise concerns about the economy and the resulting impact on start-ups, David Cummings, Founder of the Atlanta Tech Village and also Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta Ventures, sounds a much more positive tone. In his latest blogpost, he writes, “I don’t believe we’re headed for a long winter. We have too many positive characteristics in our favor.”

That certainly is more positive than last week’s statement from Jamie Dimon, Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. who said: “That hurricane is right out there down the road coming our way. We just don’t know if it is a minor one or superstorm Sandy. You have to brace yourself.”
