Cumberland Emerging Technologies has some space available
There's one wet lab, one large dry lab, and three offices at the facility in downtown Nashville.
Cumberland Emerging Technologies (CET) is a joint initiative between Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, Vanderbilt University, Launch Tennessee – a state-supported network created to empower Tennessee’s entrepreneurial ecosystem – and an international partner – Winealth Pharmaceuticals.
- CET provides researchers, universities, and entrepreneurs with a commercial development infrastructure for their biomedical technologies, from early stage formulation support to support of product development and commercialization.
- CET teams with academic research groups and supports the development process for selected projects, providing critical expertise on intellectual property, regulatory, manufacturing, and marketing issues essential to the successful development of new biomedical products.
- CET partners with several major academic research institutions, led by joint activities with Vanderbilt University and the Vanderbilt Medical Center. Together they work to identify early-stage biomedical research opportunities and develop the resulting new biopharmaceutical product candidates to improve patient care.
- CET also established and manages the Nashville Life Sciences Center (LSC), which serves as an incubator for Middle Tennessee’s emerging biomedical industry.
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Nashville, just 1.5 miles from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the LSC features flexible wet lab, dry lab, and office space with opportunities for custom build outs. Additionally, it offers shared lab space and essential laboratory equipment to help tenants limit overhead costs and maximize resources.
The LSC was founded in response to a shortage of wet lab space in Middle Tennessee, which has historically inhibited the start-up and progress of new biomedical companies and commercialization of new life science technologies. The Center started with a small footprint and, following initial success, expanded to just under 7,000 square feet. It now comprises more than 14,000 square feet. CET currently has available one wet lab, one large dry lab, and three offices.
