Cromwell, Schmisseur co-authors of new Brookings report on the SSBCI reauthorization and expansion
Eric Cromwell, former Executive Director of the Tennessee Technology Development Corporation that is now known as Launch Tennessee, and Dan Schmisseur, a colleague from those days and Founding Member of Cromwell Schmisseur LLC, are co-authors with three others of a just-issued Brookings Institution report. Titled “How Cities, States and Tribes Can Boost Entrepreneurship via the American Rescue Plan,” the analysis is focused on the reauthorization and expansion of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). The document notes that the $350 billion included in the SSBCI “can not only bolster business creation, but also rectify many of the longstanding entrepreneurship inequalities that exist by race, gender, and place in the United States.”
