COVID-19, departure of top exec lead to closing of VentureOhio

Cincy Inno reports that VentureOhio plans to cease operations and, if you go to the webpage, you can see that it appears to have already happened.

“The organization worked to attract venture capital for early stage companies to Ohio,” Cincy Inno reported, adding that its Board of Directors “decided to wind down after losing its leader earlier this year and because the pandemic put its biggest event of the year, an awards dinner that usually attracts around 600 people, in jeopardy.”

The post noted that VentureOhio’s leaders “say that their advocacy work will continue through other programs throughout the state, including CincyTech, Cleveland-basedJumpstart and Columbus-based Rev1 Ventures.
