Communication with investors is very important
A recent guest columnist for Crunchbase News highlights five actions for start-up founders to consider, particularly during these uncertain economic times.
Matt Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner at Ripple Ventures, published this recent guest column in Crunchbase News about the importance of communication with investors.
Noting that it is particularly important as “we continue into an era of economic uncertainty,” Cohen offers these thoughts:
- Be transparent with investors about the start-up’s “financial situation and any challenges it is facing”;
- “Have a clear and realistic plan for navigating the recession and positioning the company for future growth”;
- “Remain proactive in seeking out new sources of funding”;
- Be prepared to make tough and uncomfortable decisions; and
- Continuing to build a strong relationship with investors.
