CodeStock announces two keynote speakers for 2019 conference

Organizers of Knoxville’s annual CodeStock conference have announced keynote speakers for next year’s event set for April 12 and 13 at the Knoxville Convention Center.

They are Jeremy Likness, a Cloud Developer Advocate for Azure at Microsoft, and Aimee Knight, a full-stack software engineer from Nashville and former professional figure skater.

The annual technology and information exchange has grown into an event that draws nearly 1,000 attendees.

  • Likness will keynote Friday’s session. He wrote his first program in 1982, was recognized in the “Who’s Who in Quake” list for programming the first implementation of “Midnight Capture the Flag” in Quake C, and has been developing enterprise applications for 25 years with a primary focus on web-based delivery of line of business applications
  • Knight has been announced as the keynote speaker for the second day. She is a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies, a panelist on the JavaScript Jabber podcast, and an international speaker who currently specializes in JS, React, and CSS.
