CO.LAB’s Marcus Shaw lending expertise to new initiative in Montgomery, AL
Speaking of CO.LAB, an announcement was made last week in Montgomery, AL that the organization’s Chief Executive Officer will be helping launch a new initiative in the state capital.
“Montgomery Techlab,” the name of the new program, will focus on recruiting and growing companies here with help from Marcus Shaw, CO.LAB’s leader. According to this article in the Montgomery Advertiser, the new Alabama initiative will focus on mobile app development, sending companies through a 12-week program that builds customer relationships, helps them get capital and expands their capacity.
Shaw told us in a text message that he is not leaving CO.LAB. “I see this as an endorsement that Chattanooga has built a strong culture and ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship. Other mid-sized cities can learn from our story and find ways to leverage their assets to build their own strong ecosystems.”
