Chattanooga’s CO.LAB has a new leader. Maryland native Marcus Shaw was named yesterday to the top position. He’s the former Senior Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), a D.C.-based non-profit that helps build diversity and leadership pipelines for corporate institutions, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
According to yesterday’s announcement, “Shaw will lead a comprehensive strategic planning process to identify key priorities and opportunities to move CO.LAB into its next phase of service to the entrepreneurial community.” The effort will not only involve CO.LAB’s Board of Directors but also other stakeholders in Chattanooga’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Shaw succeeds Jack Studer who had been serving as Interim Executive Director since Mike Bradshaw’s departure last year.
