Cleantech Open making a push in the Southeast

Cleantech OpenWe caught-up a week or so ago with Rochelle Blaustein, the former Senior Advisor for Technology Transfer at the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), with whom we interacted regularly during my previous role at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Blaustein recently left DOE, relocated to the Research Triangle Park area, opened her own consulting firm, and linked-up with the Cleantech Open, a nonprofit that is the largest and oldest cleantech accelerator in the world. She is helping the organization penetrate the Southeast region more.

Blaustein shared some information about an upcoming competition that we thought would be of interest to companies in this area. Most important is the application deadline on May 1. We have included information that appeared in the most recent issue of the organization’s newsletter. More information about the event and the regional effort can be found at http://www2.cleantechopen.org/southeast-region/.
