City of Knoxville names its first-ever Chief of Economic and Community Development
Knoxville Mayor-elect Indya Kincannon has named the city’s first-ever Chief of Economic and Community Development.
Stephanie Welch, currently a member of the Knoxville City Council, will resign that position in mid-February to take on the new role. She previously served with the Great Schools Partnership for six years – the last 14 months as Interim President – before resigning in October.
Other key direct report appointments announced yesterday were David Brace as Chief Operating Officer and Erin Gill as Chief Policy Officer.
The inauguration is December 21.
