Cincinnati Innovation District about to outgrow 100,000 square foot facility, adds more space
Here’s a good problem to have.
With its 100,000 square foot 1819 Innovation Hub nearly full, the University of Cincinnati (UC) has found additional space for the growing Cincinnati Innovation District. The institution’s Board of Trustees has approved entering into a one-year lease for a more than 21,000 square foot building with an option to purchase the building after a one-year term.
The annual lease payment will be $400,000, with the university planning to acquire the property after a year for $5 million. Then, UC will invest another $5 million to prepare the building to be ready for companies that want to partner with the institution and access talent and innovation connections in the Cincinnati Innovation District.
