Chattanooga’s RootsRated Media raises $6.5 million in latest round
Chattanooga’s RootsRated Media, a company we spotlighted in this teknovation.biz article about 13 months ago, announced yesterday that it had raised $6.5 million in a round led by TechOperators. The new funds will be used to accelerate product development and investments in RootsRated’s suite of tech-enabled content marketing services for lean marketing teams building brands and destinations.
Geoff Robson, President of The Lighthouse Fund in Knoxville, said that his organization participated in the deal as did the Chattanooga Renaissance Fund. In late 2015, The Lighthouse Fund also participated in a $2.5 million round for RootsRated.
