Charlottesville creates city matching program for federal, state commercialization grants
The City of Charlottesville Office of Economic Development and the Charlottesville Economic Development Authority are doubling down on funding for companies seeking to commercialize technologies.
Under a new initiative named to “Cville Match” program, the entities will provide up to an additional $25,000 in funding once the federal or state grants are approved. The program targets recipients of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) and the Commonwealth Research and Commercialization Fund (CRCF) grants.
