The Change Center selected as inaugural beneficiary of “100 Men Who Care” initiative

100 Men Who CarePeter Atherton, one of the key organizers of the new “100 Men Who Care – Knoxville” reports that nearly 80 individuals turned-out earlier this week for the group’s inaugural event.

After several presentations about worthy non-profit causes, those in attendance selected The Change Center to be this quarter’s recipient of a $100 contribution from each member. The facility at 203 Harriett Tubman Street is designed to be a place where inner city youth can gather in a healthy and safe location.

WBIR-TV also did a story on the “100 Men” initiative that you can find at this link.

Due to a previous business commitment in Nashville, we could not attend the event, so we were particularly pleased when Brandon Bruce, another of the key organizers, told us that about 10 of those in attendance said they learned about the “100 Men” initiative in this recent teknovation.biz article. It’s not too late to join.
