CEO of Maryville-based Altar’d State is a regional finalist in national entrepreneurial competition

The Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of growing retail chain Altar’d State, headquartered in Maryville, is one of the finalists for the “EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 Southeast” honor.

Aaron Walters, who opened the first store in the chain in 2009, is one of six Tennesseans among the 30 finalists. The others are:

  • Allen Baler and Erin Baler of 4Patriots LLC in Nashville;
  • Shawn Reilley of Aphena Pharma Solutions in Cookeville;
  • Peter Goodwin of Groove Life in Spring Hill; and
  • Nick Ogden of The Clear Blue Company in Nashville.

The winner of the Southeast recognition will be named at 4 p.m. EDT July 29.
