CBI to hold “Make Camp” in late July

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The following was submitted by the Cumberland Business Incubator.)

The Cumberland Business Incubator of Roane State Community College is accepting applications for the kids “Make Camp,” a week-long day camp full of fun, learning and creativity.  Make Camp will be the week of July 21-25 2014 for kids age 7 through teens.

Early registration is open until June 19th for $100 per participant.  Regular registration from June 20th through July 11th is $120.

There will be Make options each day that campers can choose from including crafts, Minecraft, Computer Coding, recording a video documentary of camp, building a Little Free Library (littlefreelibrary.org) and projects for community donation.

The Make Camp Director is Paige Almonrode of Spark Crossville who has been working with the Art Circle Public Library Teens to create Make projects for a number of months.

When kids are allowed to make something in a safe, supervised, friendly environment their creativity leads to great inventions.  Inventions lead to new products that lead to new businesses, all things that the Cumberland Business Incubator supports.
