Boyd Center’s 2019 economic outlook for state projects slower growth rate
The state and national economic health is important to every enterprise, whether a start-up or an established company. With that in mind, particularly more so right now with the stock market fluctuations, we thought readers might be interested in the annual assessment issued by the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Titled “An Economic Report to the Governor of the State of Tennessee,” the assessment released yesterday suggests that: (1) Tennessee and the U.S. will see sustained economic growth in 2019, but (2) there’s the potential that growth could slow as the economy confronts tightening labor markets and rising interest rates.
