The Biz Foundry, UCDD partner on pitch competition for recovering addicts who have a business idea

The Biz Foundry in Cookeville is partnering with the Upper Cumberland Development District’s “Recovery2Work” program to help recovering addicts turn their business ideas into reality.

Titled “Inspire Recovery with Entrepreneurial Dreams,” applications opened today and will continue to be accepted through September 16 for a chance to pitch their concepts at a “Pitch It Night” on September 26. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • In recovery for two or more years;
  • Reside in the Upper Cumberland region; and
  • Have an active recovery support team/system submission mentor.
