BIO issues fifth edition of state best practices guide for growing life science sector
The Biotechnology Innovation Organization, better known as BIO, released the fifth edition of its best practices guide during last week’s “2019 BIO International Convention.” Titled “Transforming Ideas into Advances: Best Practices in State and Regional Bioscience Economic Development Initiatives,” the report is described as a comprehensive analysis of state legislative and regulatory initiatives in support of economic development for the industry.
According to this release, the report is based on a review of all 50 states and their initiatives to support the bioscience companies. It highlights key examples of state efforts to grow and sustain the bioscience industry while emphasizing the importance of developing trained workforces that will create, grow, and retain bioscience companies.
