Big Ears Festival announces 2023 line-up

Big Ears will return in 2023 for its 10th annual music festival, featuring more than 150 concerts in 12 venues across Knoxville.

The concert line-up, announced earlier this week, names more than 60 individual bands and artists as well as special programs and collaborations, with promises of more act announcements to follow.

Often known as a folk and indie music festival, Big Ears spreads bigger than those genres.

The next festival, which will be from March 30 to April 2, 2023, will feature jazz, banjo, and Latin rock legends alongside harpists, string quartets, alt-folk rockers, pianists, and everyone in between.

“The spirit of Big Ears – its heart and soul – is deeply rooted in the essential role of art and culture in developing a strong community,” said Founder and Executive Director Ashley Capps. “We are here to celebrate the creative spirit – to find inspiration in tradition while embracing change and innovation. We are continually inventing and reinventing ourselves year after year with a steadily expanding audience that shares that ideal, that spirit and vision.”

Tickets are on sale now.
