Ben Arnold thanks ETSU’s Innovation Lab for supporting his latest initiative
Ben Arnold, Founder of Connect Outdoors that combines emerging technology with a love for the wilderness, has branched out with the purchase of Cove Ridge Marina and Campground in Butler, TN, an unincorporated part of Johnson County.
We spotlighted Arnold and his ConnectScale device for those who fish in a series of teknovation.biz articles. He’s still pursuing that business with the third iteration of the device that weighs and tracks catch data from fishing trips, so purchasing a marina and campground on Watauga Lake is not that much of a stretch.
In this news release issued by East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Arnold thanks Audrey Depelteau, Liz Bennett and the team at the ETSU Innovation Lab for their assistance in his latest transaction. “The ETSU Innovation Lab has been a critical piece of our success,” Arnold said. “The lab provided us with great networking opportunities and professional meeting spaces, where we were able to meet with investors and business partners that helped us with the purchase of Cove Ridge Marina.”
