Behavioral Labs helping young adults who struggle with cannabis use disorder
The University of Tennessee (UT) Research Foundation spotlighted Behavioral Labs in the latest issue of its newsletter.
Formed around technology developed in the Center for Behavioral Health Research in UT Knoxville’s College of Social Work, the start-up is helping young adults who struggle with cannabis use disorder and other types of substance use. The approach is to leverage Peer Network Counseling technology, an intervention that integrates motivational interviewing and peer network strategies, combined with therapy techniques to offer young adults an on-demand and effective way to decrease or abstain from substance use.
