Bark Technologies to release new smartphone focused on young people
If you have young kids who have a smartphone or want one, you may have some reservations about access that they have to apps you don’t want them to use. Well, there’s a waiting list now for a new device that should be available ahead of the Christmas season.
Fresh off a $30 million round of funding, Atlanta-based Bark Technologies has announced the release of its first-ever smartphone that is expected to be available in Q4 of 2022. The Bark phone will combine the company’s award-winning content monitoring, filtering, and location software with additional features in a simple, all-in-one package that allow it to grow and adapt with a child.
While the Bark phone can be configured with more restrictive permissions to serve as the ideal choice for a child’s first smartphone, parents can also choose to enable additional features suitable for older children.
