Atlanta logs record year for venture capital investments

Atlanta Inno reports that 2019 was a record-breaking year for raising venture capital in Atlanta even though the Southeast hub finished the fourth quarter with a fizzle more than a bang after local start-up funding declined by 71 percent compared to the same time period last year. According to a report by PitchBook and the National Venture Capital Association, about $1.8 billion was invested in Atlanta companies across 157 deals.
