ARC to start accepting 2019 POWER program applications on February 1
Since 2015, the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has invested $120 million in 149 projects through its POWER Initiative. Under the program, organizations, partnerships, and projects are funded to diversify and strengthen the economy specifically in the region’s coal-impacted communities. Now, the federal agency has released a request for proposals for the 2019 POWER Initiative. ARC will start accepting applications February 1, with the final deadline April 10.
