ARC schedules webinar next week for its “Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies”
One of the newest programs from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is named the “Appalachian Regional Initiative for Stronger Economies” (ARISE). It is a $73.5 million program with a goal of driving large-scale, regional economic transformation through multi-state collaborative projects across Appalachia.
Funded by the “Bipartisan Infrastructure Law,” also known as the “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021,” ARISE not only needs to be multi-state but also focus on one of ARC’s five strategic investment priorities: (1) building businesses; (2) building workforce ecosystems; (3) building infrastructure; (4) building regional culture and tourism; and (5) building leaders and community capacity.
