ARC names new Executive Director
Brandon McBride has been named Executive Director of the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and will begin his new duties on November 30, succeeding the organization’s General Counsel who has been serving as Interim Executive Director for the past year.
McBride comes to ARC most recently from the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) where he was the Vice President of Federal Relations and managed legislative and regulatory issues affecting the organization. Prior to joining CFC, he served as the Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service. McBride also served as a senior staff member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, where he developed policies supporting rural economic and community development.
