ARC announces next round of POWER Initiative proposals
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has released a Request for Proposals for applications for the “2021 POWER Initiative.” POWER stands for Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization.
The funding is earmarked for regional investments to develop a competitive workforce, foster entrepreneurial activities, develop industry clusters, strengthen substance abuse response, and expand broadband in Appalachia coal-impacted communities. Required “Letters of Intent” are due by 5 p.m. EST on March 5, and full applications are due by 5 p.m. EDT on April 16. More information can be found at this link.
In its announcement last week, ARC encouraged applicants to attend “Understanding POWER 2021: An Application Workshop” that begins at 11 a.m. EST on February 2. Registration is open at this link through January 29.
