Andy’s Beekeeping makes it to semi-final round of national student pitch competition

Two University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) student start-ups were named to the national “Student Startup Madness” pitch competition.

Andy’s Beekeeping, winner of the Fall 2019 edition of the “Vol Court Speaker Series and Pitch Competition” hosted by UTK’s Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, was selected for the competition’s semi-final round. Digital publication Abled Magazine was named in the competition’s initial round. Both companies were chosen from applicants representing 54 universities and colleges nationwide.

As a semifinalist, Andy’s Beekeeping will compete in a pool of 32 companies for the honor of presenting in the final round of competition at “South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive” in Austin in March. Initial competition rounds are held online.
