Amazon signs-up as presenting sponsor for Nashville’s “NEXT Awards”
The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC) has secured Amazon as the presenting sponsor for the 2022 “NEXT Awards and Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame” event this fall. It’s an annual ceremony devoted to the entrepreneurial visionaries, game-changers, and disruptors transforming their industries, creating opportunities, growing economies and improving lives in Nashville and beyond.
Scheduled for October 24 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the 2022 “NEXT Awards” will recognize 16 individuals including:
- “Entrepreneur of 2022” and “Emerging Entrepreneur of 2022”;
- “Lifetime Achievements” where the honorees are inducted into the Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame;
- “Start-up of 2022” (any industry); and
- Those from industry-specific categories in two stages of growth (an emerging company with less than $3 million in annual revenue and a market mover company with $3 million or more in annual revenue). The categories are: (1) products, services, and retail; (2) technology; (3) healthcare; (4) music, sports, and entertainment; and (5) real estate, construction and hospitality.

Nominations are now open for the two individual awards – “Entrepreneur of 2022” and “Emerging Entrepreneur of 2022” – at this link with a deadline of May 2. Applications for “Start-up of 2022” and the industry awards will open in May. Tickets for the event itself will be available in August.
