Alumnus, wife give $300 million to Missouri college to enhance areas like AI, advanced manufacturing
There’s philanthropy with a little “p,” and then there’s giving with a larger than life “P.” The Missouri University of Science and Technology just received one in the latter category.
A 1955 graduate of the school then known as the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy and his wife just donated $300 million to the institution. The gift will be focused on four major areas – infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and autonomous systems – with all of them also incorporating environmental and resource sustainability.
