AdvantageWest CEO named Executive Director of ARC
The head of a well-known Asheville economic development organization has been named Executive Director of the 13-state Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), a federal-state partnership that covers more than one-half of Tennessee’s counties. Scott Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer of AdvantageWest, succeeds long-time ARC executive Tom Hunter. The latter, a friend to many of us in this region, was with the Tennessee Valley Authority for years before joining ARC.
