Next “Advanced Materials Cluster” meeting Thursday, public invited

Peter Hedger, Jr., of Magnum Venus Plastech (MVP) will be the featured speaker for the “Advanced Materials Cluster” monthly meeting set for 8 a.m. June 21 at the University of Tennessee’s Outreach Center, 1201 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge.

Anyone interested in advanced materials is invited to attend. The monthly session is coordinated by the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) for Roane State Community College and its Advanced Composites Employment Accelerator partners.

MVP is a world-leading supplier of composites fabrication equipment. Its product line consists of multiple systems appropriate for open molding chop/gelcoat, closed molding infusion and Light RTM, systems for specialty processes such as foam and pultrusion, multiple adhesive and sealant systems, and solutions for Advanced Equipment needs like Filament Winding, Impregnation, and flat panel production.

Previous speakers at the monthly series have included Jeff McCay of Composite Applications Group and Rick Spears of TruDesign.
