Adams updates us on his progress with Xada

XadaWe recently received an update from Alex Adams, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) student who has been focused on developing a safe, lower cost hammock for college students and others.

When we last posted something on Adams, he had just placed second in this year’s “Spring Vol Court” business competition hosted by UTK’s Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The article on the competition is available at https://www.teknovation.biz/2013/03/12/privateer-xada-capture-spring-vol-court-top-positions/. The original article on Adams can be found at https://www.teknovation.biz/2013/03/31/alex-adams-tinkerer-builder-focus-hammocks/.

Adams, the head of Xada, checked-in with the following update: “I just started selling my hammocks at the beginning of the week. I had a long delay because I made some more changes to the hammock. I have been selling them through my website, Amazon, EBay, and through face to face. So far it seems pretty good and the people that I have been talking to say they love it.”

For those interested, Xada’s URL is http://www.xadagear.com/.
