ActionVFX announces release of two crowd stock footage offerings
ActionVFX, the Johnson City-based company we spotlighted in this April 2020 teknovation.biz article, is releasing two new offerings today under the “Crowd Stock Footage” umbrella.
In this news release (Crowd Stock Footage Press Release) accompanying the announcement, the company explained that the “new VFX category that will revolutionize the way virtual crowds are created. This not only allows creatives a chance to do crowd work in an easier way, but it will be a much cheaper, affordable alternative.”
ActionVFX noted that the filmmaking industry has taken many hits as the world adjusts to the impacts of COVID-19, forcing many productions – from feature films to TV shows – to be cancelled due to social distancing or quarantine guidelines. Following the social distancing rules set out by appropriate governing authorities, ActionVFX has safely begun bringing in real actors and actresses to film for the “Crowd Stock Footage” effort.
With the first two offering – Sports Crowds and Concert Crowds, the company explains that producers will no longer need to film individuals on green screens while bringing hundreds of other extras to create a massive crowd.
