Academy Investment Network is a new investment group for service academy alums

There’s a growing interest in helping veteran entrepreneurs succeed – think Bunker Labs on a national level and Veteran Ventures Capital founded here by Derren Burrell.

Now, a West Point alum and former military police officer has co-founded and launched an investment group for U.S. Service Academy graduates, called the Academy Investment Network. The plan, she said, is to syndicate capital from alumni of the five publicly funded service academies: the U.S. Military, Naval, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine. That funding will back early stage companies — including veteran-led start-ups across industries, and civilian-led start-ups in the government-technology space.
