ACA issues “Angel Funders Report 2021”
The Angel Capital Association (ACA) has issued its annual “Angel Funders Report 2021.”
In his introduction to the report, ACA President Patrick Gouhin cited two specific accomplishments: (1) expanding syndication and reach; and (2) improving diversity, both for women- and Black-led companies.
ACA members invested $650 million in 2020, averaging about $4.7 million for each member fund. That’s an increase of 15 percent compared to 2019. Angels invested in more deals in 2020 than 2019 – 19 versus 14 – but the average investment per deal was nearly $50,000 lower.
